What is Physical Therapy?

Physical Therapy is hands-on and science based conventional form of assessment and treatment which helps maintain and restore optimum movement and functional ability for your body. It is a primary care health profession and is established on health science principles. Many of the physical problems you experience are caused by or manifest themselves through: injury, disease, aging or environmental factors.

If you experience pain or discomfort from any normal body movement or function you may be suffering from some form of injury – possibly caused by one of the factors listed above. To remain healthy and happy you need to maintain a pain free body while also addressing your psychological, emotional, and social needs.

Physical Therapy addresses these factors which play an important part of your overall wellbeing therefore providing a holistic approach to your treatment. Physical Therapy is central to any treatment required to restore you to a pain free life and to optimum health.
